Problem updating kaspersky antivirus
As you can see in the following image, there are two things: the folder that contains the updated database and also the same setup file with the antivirus running on my computer.
I had troubles in the past, trying to update the antivirus database on a different antivirus version ( older ).
The Web Anti-Virus component should be re-enabled after downloading the database update.
Kaspersky Lab would like to apologize for any inconvenience caused by this database update error.
Once you have them - copy the entire database and update the computer(s) without an Internet Connection.
I will guide you through the entire procedure - step by step.
- Kaspersky has a configuration available in their API where updates will not run unless screen saver is activated.
This option is not exposed in Kaspersky UI and is not available in KAV profile, but default was recently changed to activate it unless explicitly deactivated when applying profile.
If an affected machine updates from the Administration Kit/Security Center console, then these updates will be downloaded automatically."I just wanted to thank the good folks at Kaspersky for insuring that my hospital has either crippled or no Anti Virus," one commenter said."The workaround of disabling A/V is outright stupid." Another criticized Kaspersky's failure to respond to the many complaints on the forum.Kaspersky's response was posted by one of the forum users: We apologize for the inconvenience. It does appear that there was a hiccup with an update pushed out causing Windows XP machines to lose Internet connectivity.
