Fired event rowupdating

Within the Item Template I have an Image Buttong with a Command Name of "Edit".

This works as expected and I can put a breakpoint in the Row Command event handler to see the "Event" command name.

Do you have some sort of Java Script functionality that may be stopping it? A common problem people have with Grid Views is understanding when to data bind the data source to the Grid View.

It's quite common that people create the data source and bind this source to the Grid View in their Page_Load() method.

I am using a Template Field to display my Edit, Update and Cancel 'buttons' in the first column of the Grid View within respective Item Template and Edit Item Template fields.(Note, in the gridview the One strange thing that I've noticed that makes me think it's a View State problem is that if I change the Command Name of the Update button to "Edit" that postback event does get captured in the Row Command event... Hi All, In above written code only EDIT event is being fired & that is only once after that UPDATE, CANCEL no event is being fired. All I want to do is change the Grid Row Color on the basis of the value entered in QTY field.If you are using command buttons, then do not use Auto Generate Edit Button.Hi, I have a gridview with some template columns and have set Autogenereate Edit Columns="True". If you are using command buttons, then do not use Auto Generate Edit Button.
